According to the new changes, the owners (tenants) of residential premises will be required to send an appropriate notification if the citizen himself has not submitted the necessary documents to the registration authority for registration at the place of stay or place of residence within the prescribed time frame.
The notification must be sent to the territorial body of the FMS of Russia within 3 working days after the expiration of the deadline for the submission of documents by the citizen himself.
Now local governments will not be able to register at the place of stay and place of residence. These powers have been fully transferred to the territorial bodies of the FMS of Russia.
The obligation of the administrations of hotels, sanatoriums, rest homes, medical organizations and a number of other institutions to provide the FMS of Russia with information on the registration of citizens at the place of stay free of charge within 24 hours is also enshrined.
The list of persons responsible for receiving and transmitting to the FMS of Russia documents for registration of citizens at the place of stay and place of residence has been approved.
It includes, in particular, officials of state and local government bodies in the field of housing relations, as well as owners who independently manage their living quarters.
