The criteria for the complexity of a legal dispute in arbitration courts have been established

In its information letter “Recommendations on the Application of Criteria for the Complexity of Disputes Considered in the Arbitration Courts of the Russian Federation” No. 167 of July 1, 2014, the Presidium of the Supreme Arbitration Court of the Russian Federation established a number of criteria on the basis of which the load on the panels will now be distributed and depending on its legal complexity.

The complexity of the dispute will be set depending on the category of the dispute, the number of claims submitted, consideration of the counterclaim, the number of persons participating in the case, the examinations carried out, the participation of foreign persons in the case, etc. … The final coefficient will be obtained by multiplying the coefficients established for each criterion and reflected in the business card. This innovation will allow other participants in the litigation to justify the declared legal costs based on the complexity of the dispute.
